Attitudes & Expressions
DaVid of Scandinavia |
The Indian and Egyptian heritage spans back over more than 4000 years of diligent development, disclipline, dedication, stylization and consistency in concepts and philosophy around movement and arts. In order to have proper projection in the dances one has to explore the artistic identity and philosophy this heritage brings along. Merely copying the facial expressions off of statues, paintings, actors and dancers remains inadequate. It is required to understand the underlaying philosophy, thought process, mindset and approach as well. This seminar digs deep into the roots of what enables the dancer to motivate an expression internally and not merely by external cloning. |
